About North Star Scrollers
The North Star Scrollers club was established in Minnesota on April 4, 2009 as a non-profit membership organization 'to develop interest in and increase knowledge of scroll scroll sawing', including the techniques of intarsia, fretwork, marquetry, pyrography as well as a variety of related crafts. We invite anyone interested in sharing their knowledge and experience to join and learn along with us. Our membership forms a diverse community of helpful enthusiasts composed broadly by age, gender and experience including beginners and notable professionals. You need not join immediately to try us out. We encourage you to take us for a 'test drive'. We hold monthly meeting between September and May each year that consists of a short business meeting, Show & Tell and an informative program related to scroll sawing. Throughout the year we sponsor classes that highlight a variety of scroll sawing skills to members and non-members alike. In addition to our regular meetings, we publish a monthly newsletter, seek and distribute information on scroll sawing activities and participate in various shows and community projects. We also make toys and paintable scroll saw projects for TLC Toys who then distribute to various organizations like police and fire departments and memory care units.

Founded in 2009 by Jim Ryan, Swede Bengston and John Engler. The club has its first meeting in Rockler Burnsville. The meeting was so popular, the store packed over 35+ interested scrollers.
